We are thrilled to announce that our Colombian plant has been certified with the ISO 50001 standard.
ISO 50001 certification, establishes an energy management system that helps organizations to improve their energy efficiency, reduce costs and minimize their environmental impact. This achievement is meaningful for us because energy production emits 27% of greenhouse gases.
In both our plants, Colombia and Costa Rica, we have strong systems that efficiently regulate energy, helping to reduce the carbon footprint we leave on the environment. We are excited about achieving this certification because it represents our commitment to sustainability in three pillars (environmental, social, and economic), aligning our actions with Sustainable Development Goals 7 and 13.
